This is a movie starring several comedy stars that we all know and love in what I call "The Expedables of Comedy"! Well except all these guys (except Schneider) still have booming careers! This comedy starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, and Maya Rudolph! More like Saturday Night Live Collaboration for a full lenght feature if you ask me. The story is about five boys that win a basketball championship as children and they have Coach Buzzer (Blake Clark)that is a huge role model to them. The plot is that Coach Buzzer passes away while the boys are away in their personal lives and gets the champion team to reunite together again!
There are several funny antics from the funeral to the very end that keep you entertained! Lenny (Sandler) is a big shot agent that is the main character that is trying not to be to "Hollywood" with his designer wife Roxanne (Hayek) and two spoiled ass boys! (This isnt Voss bottle water!) While the families are adjusting to staying in the old lake house from the boys childhood, they are met with funny antics on getting the kids to go out and play and to ignore the local idiot that wont let the championship game lose go. With some fun times of hitting the lake in canoes, trying a swing rope, hitting the waterpark, or just plain old learning how to skip a rock the movie has complete comedy through to the end. Even though the ending was sudden kind of making you want more and more! Especially since the guys get some eye candy (Madison Riley & Jamie Chung) and the ladies get that Ken doll on steroids! (wont bother looking up his name)
I thought it was great and had a good laugh out loud time!
The Saturday Night Boys plus Kevin James in a laid back Chris Farley replacement team is a great combo and I hope to see it again someday!
I give it a "Go watch this movie on...SATURDAY NIGHT" rating!!!
